How to Subscribe to the School Master Calendar Using Apple/iPhone Calendar

If you need to subscribe to the school master calendar, we have an easy solution for Apple devices that allows you to download and sync the full GVCS calendar to your device.

Text Instructions

Step 1: Copy the Calendar Link

  1. Locate the Calendar Link: The link to the full school calendar will be available on the school website.
  2. Copy the Link: Simply copy the provided calendar link.

Step 2: Open the Calendar App on Your iPhone

  1. Open Calendar: Go to your iPhone’s home screen and open the Calendar app.
  2. Access Calendar Settings: Tap on “Calendars” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Add a Subscription Calendar

  1. Add a New Calendar: Tap on “Add Calendar.”
  2. Select Subscription Calendar: Choose the “Add Subscription Calendar” option.

Step 4: Paste the Calendar Link

  1. Paste the Link: In the “Subscription Calendar” field, paste the link you copied earlier.
  2. Subscribe: Tap on the “Subscribe” button.

Step 5: Configure Calendar Settings

  1. Customize Your Calendar: You have the option to:
  • Turn on event alerts.
  • Change the color of the calendar.
  • Choose the account where the calendar will be added.
  • Access “Subscription Details” to remove alerts, attachments, and other settings.
  • Add Calendar: Once you’ve customized your settings, tap the “Add” button in the top-right corner.

Step 6: Wait for Events to Load

  1. Loading Events: The calendar will start downloading events. This may take a few moments.
  2. View Your Events: After loading, all school events will appear on your calendar. This includes elementary, high school, sports events, school-wide days off, and more.

Additional Information

  1. Google Calendar: This method currently has issues with Google Calendar, where only a few weeks of events may sync, and it does not update correctly. A fix is being worked on.
  2. Outlook: This process has not yet been tested on Outlook. You can try following the same steps to see if it works on your device.
