Please watch the new informational video below and check out our Q&A section. If you have any questions after reviewing all of this information, please reach out to our WAT team!

Work-A-Thon is our annual service & fundraising event for 3rd - 12th grade. Each year, GVCS students and teachers devote one full day to serving the elderly and people with disabilities in our community by assisting with outdoor projects, yard work and winterizing their homes. They work hard and take time to talk and encourage those they serve. In anticipation of the work they will accomplish, students are asked to gather pledges to achieve their fundraising goals.

This year's Work-A-Thon will be held Friday, November 3rd

Details:
- 3rd-5th grade students will be working near school grounds for safety purposes.
- 6th-12th grade students will be going out in small groups to serve the community more effectively.
- All students should wear shoes and layered clothing they don't mind getting dirty.
- Students should bring gloves, rakes and hats.

Send lunch money with high school students as they will go out to lunch off campus.

We aim to serve our community through hard work, make real connections and support our GVCS families financially. Pledges collected will support tuition assistance for students who might otherwise be unable to attend our awesome school. In addition, a portion of the funds raised will go towards a school project. This year's project will be a new playground for the elementary students.

It contains everything your student needs to request pledges from personal contacts:
- 10 envelopes
- 10 letters
- 10 pledge cards
- 10 return envelopes

From there, students can request pledges in three ways:

MAKE CALLS: Request a pledge over the phone, fill out a pledge card with their contact info and amount pledged, then submit to the school office.

SEND LETTERS: Students should personally sign the provided letters, address the envelopes very legibly and insert a pledge card/return envelope. Then submit to the school office, where GVCS will pay for the postage and send for you! (Please send all 10 letters by October 12 to earn a prize!)

ONLINE: Donors can follow the QR code on the letter or pledge card and make a donation on our website! They can either donate by paying right then, or make a pledge and select "Bill Me," instead of making a payment. Donors can designate specific students for their pledge so the student gets credit!

Please consider making a difference in the community and at GVCS. To help financially, DONATE HERE. Every donation matters!

If you are donating on behalf of multiple students in one form, designate on the form how you want the amounts distributed to students.
