Middle School Choir is a class available to all students in Grades 6-8th grade. The choir sings in their annual Christmas concert and Spring Concert.
Students in Middle School Choir can audition for the ICDA Opus Honor Choir.
The Middle School Thunder worship team leads our students and teachers in worship before chapel twice a week. Students are chosen and teams rotate throughout the year.
High School Choir is a class available to all students in Grades 9-12. Choir has always been a part of Grand View Christian School. It is the desire of the school to train students in using their gifts for the glory of God. The choir sings in their annual Christmas concert and Spring Concert. They also participate in the annual IHSMA Large Group contest. The choir has received a Division 1 rating at state Large Group for the last 11 years.
Hopesong is made up of a select group of 16 high school students who audition from our larger high school choir. Hopesong participates in a variety of activities during the year. In December they carol to shut-ins and sing in different Christmas concerts. In February they deliver Singing Valentines to help raise funds for their annual trip. During March, April, and May they do concerts in different churches around the Des Moines Metro area and tour out of state. Previous trips include: Kansas City, Omaha, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. Recently, the group received first place in their division at the Festival of Music at Worlds of Fun. In the past few years, Hopesong has also performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.
Regeneration exists to glorify God through music and to serve others by leading worship for local churches, school events, and some chapels. Regeneration is a select group of high school students who are seeking to use their instrumental or vocal abilities to serve the Lord.

Auditions for Iowa’s All-State Chorus are conducted every year in October. Students who are in High School choir have the opportunity to audition for the chorus. Grand View has had 5 students selected to the IHSMA All-State Chorus.
